From flood detection to decision-grade output

How it works?

Step 1: Intake

Typical inputs include:

  • Flood alerts or candidate detections

  • Flood extent outputs or polygons

  • Defined time windows and priority levels

Each item is logged, time-stamped, and tracked against a defined SLA.

Flood alerts, AOIs, or candidate events are securely submitted into TerraVerdict’s verification queue.

Step 2: Human Verification

Verification focuses on:

  • Whether flooding occurred within the AOI

  • Whether timing aligns with the claimed window

  • Whether extent outputs are materially accurate

Each event is assigned an initial verdict:
Confirmed · Rejected · Uncertain, with confidence scoring.

Trained analysts review each event using hazard-specific verification rubrics.

Step 3: QA & Adjudication

  • A subset of events undergo dual review

  • Disagreements are automatically flagged

  • Escalations are resolved by senior reviewers or domain leads

This ensures consistency across analysts and prevents silent drift during high-volume periods.

Not all events are clear-cut. That’s expected, and designed for.

Step 4: Delivery Under SLA

Verified outputs are returned in structured formats designed for operational use.

Clients receive:

  • Verified Flood Event Cards

  • Evidence Packs (where required)

  • SLA and volume tracking

All outputs are delivered within agreed turnaround windows, including surge conditions.

Step 5: Feedback Loop

Verification is not a dead end.

Recurring insights are shared with product, data, or ML teams to help:

  • Identify systematic failure modes

  • Understand edge cases and uncertainty patterns

  • Improve reliability without retraining models

This feedback is structured, optional, and aligned to your internal workflows.

Why this scales?

  • A small expert bench defines standards and rubrics

  • Scalable analyst pods execute consistently

  • Continuous calibration maintains quality as volume spikes

This allows TerraVerdict to absorb flood-week surges without compromising reliability.

What we are not?

  • We do not retrain models

  • We do not replace your platform

  • We do not act as a black box

TerraVerdict exists to make automated flood intelligence usable in high-stakes decisions, nothing more, nothing less.

Start with a pilot

Most teams begin with a 30-day pilot to evaluate verification quality, turnaround times, and operational fit.

We work directly with catastrophe intelligence and insurance-focused platforms to validate flood outputs under real conditions, before any long-term commitment.
